Reading VPS benchmarks
Updated
AI-prepared research. This guide is not a lab benchmark; measured results are published separately with verified evidence.
CPU measurements
CPU events per second describe completed work for a particular benchmark configuration. A single-thread result and a multi-thread result answer different questions; retain the tool version, workload and thread count beside each number.
Do not treat a sysbench result as a Geekbench score. Different tools and versions use different workloads and cannot be substituted.
Storage measurements
IOPS means input/output operations per second. Read and write results depend on block size, access pattern, queue depth, caching and the test file.
Compare only matching configurations. Keep read and write measurements separate, and check that the source artifact records the exact command.
Network measurements
Mbps means megabits per second. Throughput depends on endpoints, direction, path and traffic limits; an advertised port speed is not a measured transfer rate.
An unavailable or failed test remains unmeasured. It is never a zero-speed result.
Samples and limitations
The median describes the middle observation, and the range shows the smallest and largest accepted values in that sample. A small range in a short window does not establish long-term consistency.
Check accepted and failed counts together with the observation dates. Read how evidence is verified before comparing providers.
